Three people were hospitalized following a shooting incident at a St Ann hotel near midnight on Monday.
Reports to the North Coast Times are that an altercation developed between a hotel staff member and her ex boyfriend at a staff party at the Bahia Principe Hotel, Runaway Bay.
Unconfirmed reports are that the man, a taxi operator attacked his ex lover. She was reportedly stabbed. A senior security officer at the hotel fired his gun and shot the taxi operator. The bullet exited the man’s body and hit at least one other person.
The shooting resulted in pandemonium, bringing an end to the party. Romain Virgo who was the featured act, ran from the stage.
The woman, the taxi operator and the other person hit by the bullet were taken to St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
North Coast Times cannot confirm reports regarding the state of the taxi driver.
