A businessman and a householder are in hospital with gunshot wounds following a home invasion in Runaway Bay St Ann this morning.
The businessman is a local supermarket operator and was at home when gunmen invaded his house. Reports to the North Coast Times are that the gun men first took a householder at the home as hostage, after kicking down a door to a back building in the yard. The gunmen also broke into the main building and took a worker hostage and forced her at gunpoint to call out to the business man. They then tore down a door to his room and shot him several times. The male assistant who was the first one attacked was badly beaten and shot.
Police said the incident took place near 2:30 Thursday morning, December 1.
