A 60-year-old St Mary driver was killed in a road crash in the parish Sunday, May 1.

Dead is Crowley Murray of Long Road, St. Mary. Police reported that Murray died as a result of injuries he received in a fatal collision on the Gray’s Inn main road in St. Mary.

The Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU) said the Annotto Bay Police reported that about 11:01 a.m., Murray was driving a Toyota coaster bus with passengers aboard towards Port Maria. On reaching a section of the roadway, he allegedly tried to negotiate a corner, lost control of the vehicle and collided into a Kenworth Tipper motor truck travelling in the opposite direction. The occupants of the bus were were taken to hospital where Crowley was pronounced dead. The others were treated and released.
