Police are confirming that a man was taken from a motorcade in Mansfield Heights also called Falklands, Ocho Rios and arrested and for having an offensive weapon.
SSP Wayne Cameron said the laws are clear that no person should have any weapon in or near polling stations and that there should be no motorcade or convoys today. He said he had spoken to JLP candidate for NE St Ann, Shanine Robinson about her supporters breaching the law by having motorcades in the constituency.
SSP Cameron said the man will be charged and offered bail.
