An 18-year-old youth is in custody of St Ann police in connection with Friday night’s rape of a 75-year- old woman in Orange Hill, near Brown’s Town.
The elderly woman has been hospitalized.
The Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) has entered the investigation and reportedly recovered bloody clothing belonging to the youth.
Reports are that the 18-year-old entered the woman’s house, in Orange Hill on New Year’s Day and viciously raped her and escaped. She was later assisted to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
Police are expected to charge the youth later this week.
