MAN SLAIN IN FIGHT WITH LOVER

fightA 30-year-old man was stabbed to death, allegedly by his 50-year-old lover in Farm Town, Discovery Bay, St Ann on Friday, January 23, following a dispute.Dead is Knyica McWashington of Woods Town, Discovery Bay. He was stabbed following a dispute with 50-year-old Ingrid Johnson, bar operator of Farm Town, Discovery Bay. It is reported that the two were involved in an intimate relationship.The violent death was not reported in any police or CCU statements and news of it came to North Coast Times as a death caused by demon possession. However, investigations by this newspaper found no such link, except that a woman in the area was said to be involved with demons but had no relationship to the victim or the alleged perpetrator.Reports are that Johnson was at her bar when McWashington went there and started a fight with her. The fight reportedly continued outside the premises when a knife was brought into play. McWashington allegedly received stabbed wounds to his left eye, right side and right hand. Police say he succumbed to his injuries at hospital.The woman was arrested and charged for murder and appeared in the St Ann’s Bay Resident Magistrate Court on Thursday, January 29 where she was offered bail in the sum of $500,000.The St Ann police are appealing to persons who have conflicts or domestic issues to seek assistance from the necessary authorities to mediate their problems without committing violent acts.
