Police Say 48-Hour Curfew Imposed Amid Unrest In The Area
ISLINGTON, St Mary; Sept. 10, 2026
A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Islington, St. Mary, following a triple murder in Robin’s Bay on Wednesday.
Sections of Islington, including Robin’s Bay, Strawberry Fields, Baccaswood and Rosend will all be affected. Police told the North Coast Times that, up to Thursday afternoon, there was no new development in the murder investigation.
The curfew started at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, and remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
NORTH: From the back entrance of the Baccasswood community in the vicinity of the Zion Hill Main Road, extending east through a vegetated section of the Strawberry Field community.
 EAST: From a vegetated section of the Strawberry Fields community, extending south through a vegetated section of the Rosend community.
SOUTH: From a vegetated section of the Rosend community, extending west along the Rosend Main Road in the vicinity of the Rosend Bus Stop and continuing towards the White Hall Main Road.
 WEST: From the White Hall Main Road in the vicinity of the entrance to the Islington community, extending north to the back entrance of the Baccasswood community in the vicinity of the Zion Hill Main Road.
Police say that following the triple murder in Robin’s Bay, St. Mary, on Wednesday, September 9, there is unrest in the community.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the ground commander.
The police are appealing to residents to cooperate fully with members of the security forces and to share any information that may assist investigators. Persons with information may contact the St. Mary Police, Crime Stop at 311, the JCF NIB Tip Line at 811, or the nearest police station.
