MAN FLEES, LEAVING HAT, KNIFE IN ST ANN EARLY MORNING MURDER
ST ANN’S BAY, St Ann; June 7, 2026
Police are searching for a 49-year-old man who reportedly went to the home of his ex-lover in Mammee Bay, St Ann, and slashed her throat during a fight, killing her.
Dead is 34-year-old Jessica Howell, also called Nooks, vendor of Capture Land, Mammee Bay, St Ann.
Police say that about 5 o’clock Saturday morning, June 6, the man who lives nearby turned up at the home of Ms Howell at Capture Land, Mammee Bay. Reports to the North Coast Times are that she ended a relationship with him some time ago.

Further reports are that after the man went to her house, he and Howell were involved in a quarrel that turned physical. The man reportedly used a ratchet knife to slash Howell’s throat. She fell to the ground, bleeding.
The man fled the scene in a Toyota Hiace bus.
Police found Howell’s body lying face down in a pool of blood along a dirt track. She was clad in a blue and white blouse, blue jeans shorts and pink slippers.
Police recovered a knife believed to be the murder weapon and a hat said to belong to the suspect. They also recovered a canister of pepper spray.
