MAN FINED $165,000 IN ST MARY COURT FOR DEALING IN AND POSSESSION OF GANJA

ANNOTTO BAY, St Mary; June 5, 2026

A Hanover man was fined a total of $165,000 after pleading guilty to ganja-related offences in the Annotto Bay Parish Court on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

The accused, 46-year-old Kelvin Patrick Esteen, was arrested on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, after police conducting a National Coordinated Roadblock along the Cambridge main road in St. Mary intercepted a motor vehicle he was driving.

During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered approximately five and a half pounds of ganja concealed in several locations, including within the rim of the spare tyre beneath the vehicle.

Following investigations, Esteen was charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, and trafficking in ganja.

When he appeared before the court, he pleaded guilty to possession of ganja and dealing in ganja and was fined $15,000 and $150,000, respectively.
