15-Y-O APPEARS IN COURT ON WOUNDING WITH INTENT CHARGE

The 15-year-old boy who hit and wounded his schoolmate with a chair has been charged with wounding with intent.
The charge follows the arrest of the boy last week Wednesday, March 18, 2026, after an incident involving one of his schoolmates at Aabuthnott Gallmiore High School in Alexandria, St. Ann, on Wednesday, March 18.

Reports from the Brown’s Town Police are that at about 2:15 p.m., the accused entered a classroom selling sweets, but the other student did not make a purchase. A friend of the accused then approached the student, which led to an argument. A fight subsequently broke out, during which the accused threw a metal chair, hitting the student on the head and causing a wound.
The injured student was taken to the hospital, where he was admitted and later discharged.
The accused 15-year-old was arrested and formally charged. He was scheduled to appear before the Children’s Court in Brown’s Town, St. Ann, on Friday, March 27.
