MONEAGUE COLLEGE WEEK UNDER WAY

VIP VISITORS, ALUMNI, HIGH LEVEL PRESENTATIONS AT CENTRE OF ACTIVITIES

MONEAGUE, St Ann; March 23, 2026

The Moneague College community is celebrating Moneague College Week 2026, with a host of activities including students, faculty, alumni and community partners.

The schedule of activities is to be highlighted by the Dr. Aubrey Phillips Lecture on Tuesday, March 24. The annual lecture will feature Michael Lee-Chin,  Chairman of NCB Financial Group.

The College says the Week will celebrate its vibrant culture, highlighting its local and international partnerships, alumni engagement, and community connections.

The activities began with International Partnership Day, Monday, March 23, when Moneague College welcomed its long-standing partner, Monroe University. The Monroe delegation presented a cheque for one million Jamaican dollars (J$1 million)  in support of the College’s restoration efforts following Hurricane Melissa.

On  Thursday, focus will turn to Quality Assurance with a presentation by June Wheatley-Holness, Programme Officer, Quality Assurance Unit, UWI Regional Headquarters. On the same day the College Taster will host senior high school students for immersive campus experiences, academic showcases, and a friendly football match between Vere Technical High School and the Moneague College.

Friday, March 27, is Alumni Day featuring keynote speaker and distinguished alumna, Lady Allen, wife of the Governor General. The day’s activities also include a panel discussion, campus tour and networking reception.

The Miss Moneague College Festival Queen Pageant will close off the week with a showcase starting at 6 p.m.
