REPORTS ARE 3 PEOPLE ATTENDING TO BROKEN DOWN CAR ON ROADWAY HELD UP
PORT MARIA, St Mary; March 10, 2026
Three men who police believe were involved in the hold-up and robbery of a group of individuals in St Mary early Saturday morning, March 7, 2026, have been arrested.
Police from St Mary, with support from detectives in St. Andrew North, have reportedly made significant progress in the investigation of a robbery with aggravation that occurred along the Golden Valley main road in St. Mary on Saturday, Â at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Reports indicate that three individuals stopped along the roadway after the motor vehicle they were travelling in developed mechanical difficulties. While they were attempting to carry out repairs, the individuals with the disabled vehicle were approached by a man who brandished an object resembling a firearm and robbed them of approximately one million dollars in cash, along with other valuables, before escaping.
Following the incident, investigators launched a coordinated operation the same day in sections of Stony Hill, St. Andrew, which resulted in the arrest of three male suspects in connection with the incident.

During the operation, items reported stolen in the robbery were recovered, including cellular phones and other personal belongings. Â The premises of the suspects were also searched during the operation.
The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
