A St Mary businessman was shot dead at his house in the predawn hours of Monday, February 9, 2026.
He has been identified as Garfield Singh, a 59-year-old of Boscobel, St. Mary.

Police are investigating the reported murder of Mr Singh at his home next to his business place, Singh’s Tyre Sales, Service and Repair, along the Boscobel Main Road in Boscobel, St. Mary.

Reports to the North Coast Times are that Mr Singh was popular in the area where he carried out his business and in many parts of St Mary.
According to police, reports are that about 4:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026, residents heard loud banging at the home of a businessman in the area, followed by sounds like gunshots. Moments later, gunmen were seen fleeing the premises.
Checks were made, and the body of Mr Singh was found inside the house.
The police were alerted, and upon their arrival, the scene was processed.
Police say that up to Monday afternoon, the suspect(s) remain unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
