SOME ST MARY TRAINERS SAID THEY HAD DONE THE JOB
The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) is informing trainers of Election Day workers who have not been paid that their payment will be made by Friday.
A representative of the trainers from St Mary had reached out to the North Coast Times, who checked with the EOJ about the status of payment.

The person claiming to be a representative of people who trained Election Day workers for the 2025 General Election, in St Mary, said:
“Based on information received and verified (in St Mary) …payment has not been made to at least six (6) individuals who were contracted to facilitate Election Day Worker training. These individuals were engaged from as early as February 2025, completed all assigned duties, and fulfilled the required administrative processes.”
In responding, on Tuesday, January 13, to the query by the North Coast Times, Daynia Harper, Manager, Public Relations and Communications at the EOJ, said: “The outstanding Trainers will be paid by Friday of this week. There was a delay in the submission of the properly completed documents from the field office,s which led to the delay. We regret any inconvenience caused to these persons.”
