Police have confirmed at least one death in a shooting incident in Alexandria, St Ann, Friday night, January 9, 2026.
Dead is 33-year-old Kemar Brown, also called Mars of Bristol District Alexandria.
Police reports also say a woman who was wounded is hospitalized.

However, other unconfirmed reports to the North Coast Times say two people died in the shooting that took place just before 10 p.m., Friday night.
Reports are that Brown and a woman were exiting a shop about 9:55 when they were confronted by an armed man who demanded money. When the demand was not met, the man opened fire, hitting Brown and the woman.
The gunman escaped.
Police transported the two to the hospital, where Brown was pronounced dead and the woman admitted.
Investigations continue.
