UPDATE
Moneague College has suspended all online classes. The suspension of “all online engagements” effective Thursday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m. came by way of a release updating earlier decisions at the college, based on information about Tropical Storm Melissa.
The main campus for the college is at Moneague, St Ann. There is also a campus in St Mary and one in St Catherine.
The college suspended day classes on Wednesday at 1:30 and advised all classes would be conducted virtually as of 8:30 Thursday morning.
But on Thursday morning, the college said it was suspending online engagements following the Met Service’s upgrade of the severe weather situation from Tropical Storm Watch to Hurricane Warning.

The college in a release issued Wednesday, October 22, 2025, gave notice of instructions of decisions taken based on the “threat posed by Tropical Storm Melissa.” It gave departure times for boarders.
The notice was directed to day and evening institute students as well as boarders and faculty. All face-to-face classes were suspended at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The notice said that as of 8:30 Thursday morning, evening institute and day class would be conducted virtually until further notice.
Lecturers were asked to make virtual sessions recordings and or tasks available to all students for the duration of online class delivery.
All campuses will be closed as of 1:30, Thursday Oct. 23.
