SHOT DEAD WHILE RELAXING WITH FRIENDS

A St Ann man was shot to death and two of his friends were wounded in Exchange, Ocho Rios, on Sunday afternoon, October 12, 2025.
Dead is Jamie Obrian Brown, glass cutter of Compound, Exchange. The two who were wounded were also from the area.
Sunday’s killing brings to 50 the number of murders in St Ann since the start of the year. That is nine more than for the same period in 2024.

Reports to the North Coast Times are that about 5:50, the men were having drinks and relaxing outside a bar in Exchange when they were pounced upon by a man with a gun. The man fired several shots, hitting the three. Brown was shot several times in the upper body. The others were also shot — one twice and the other three times.
Police were called to the scene and found Brown, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, lying face down in a pool of blood. He was pronounced dead at hospital. The others were admitted.
Police recovered eight spent casings from the scene.
Investigations continue.
