MOST WANTED IN 2016 SHOP KILLING NOW CHARGED

Nine years after a man was accused of shooting another in a shop in St Ann, the alleged killer has turned himself in to the police.
Forty-one-year-old Dwayne Christie, otherwise called ‘Kojack’, a construction worker of Jack’s Hill in St. Andrew, has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Ronald Gayle in Davis Town, Cascade, St Ann on Friday, September 16, 2016.

Christie was one of St. Ann’s most wanted, who was named on the police’s “Wanted Wednesdays” feature.
Police say Christie turned himself in to the police on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the presence of his attorney.
Christie has been charged with murder, illegal possession of firearm, and illegal possession of ammunition.
The allegations are that Christie and Gayle were at a shop in Davis Town when an argument developed between them. The argument escalated into a physical altercation. It is alleged that Christie left the area but later returned with a firearm, which he used to shoot Gayle, killing him.
On Monday, September 22, Christie was formally charged after an interview.
His court date is being finalised.
