BOYS SAID STABBED AFTER FATHER OF ONE CONSUMED GANJA TEA
MONEAGUE, St Ann; September 1, 2025
Police have charged with murder the father of one of the two little boys slain last week in Moneague, St Ann.
Charged with two counts of murder is 23-year-old Alain Saunders labourer of Swamp District, Moneague, St. Ann.
Two brothers, one-year-old Amair Saunders and two-year-old Shamair Henry, were stabbed to death on Tuesday night, August 26, at their home in Swamp. The boys’ mother reported that she fled the house and went to the police in Moneague after her partner, the father of the younger child, began to threaten the children with violence. It is reported that he had consumed a large amount of ganja tea and armed himself with a pair of scissors.

A search for the boys later that evening and night did not locate them.

They were found the following morning in bushes near their house.
Saunders was taken into custody.

Following investigations led by the Major Investigation Division and the St Ann police, Saunders was questioned in the presence of his attorney and charged with the offences of two counts of murder.

A court date is being finalized.
