POLICE SAY DRIVER CHARGED

A motorist has been charged in connection with the road death of a St Mary man on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The man killed is known only as Oney.
Initial reports from the police said that at about  1:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, a man was walking along Boscobel Main Road in the vicinity of Beaches Hotel. He was struck by a grey Toyota Vitz motorcar.
The St Mary Police said the pedestrian was transported to Port Maria Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver left the scene but later reported to the police and has since been arrested and charged. Investigations are ongoing.
The St. Mary Police urge all road users to exercise caution, drive responsibly, and use due diligence to prevent accidents and protect lives on the roadways.
