General Elections will be held in Jamaica on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Nomination Day for candidates to contest the Elections will be on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced the dates at a JLP rally in Half Way Tree, St Andrew, on Sunday evening, August 10.
Several leaders in the Party and Ministers of the Holness-led administration addressed the rally.

Before giving the date for the election, Dr Holness spoke about several long-standing problems addressed by the JLP Government. He also announced that school children will get two months of free transport on Government buses. “Free transport to all school children…from September to October,” he said.
He announced the date at 9:30 p.m.
