REGGAE WALL FOR OCHO RIOS

MURAL CELEBRATING ARTISTES TO BE UNVEILED TUESDAY

A part of the face of Ocho Rios will change next week when the St Ann Chamber of Commerce unveils a mural at Eight Rivers –The main plaza in the resort town.

The Chamber, led by banker Ransford Davidson, says the mural is part of its “ongoing beautification drive.”

The mural is celebrating iconic artistes from St. Ann.

“A wall at Eight Rivers Plaza has been chosen as the canvas for this vibrant tribute, underscoring the Chamber’s dedication to preserving culture and enriching the community,” a release from the Chamber said.

The unveiling of the St. Ann Reggae Wall will take place on Tuesday, July 29, from 12:00noon to 12:30 pm at Eight River’s Plaza.  The ceremony to which the public is invited will be attended by officials, including Mayor of St Ann’s Bay, Michael Belnavis.

The Chamber says the St. Ann Reggae Wall stands as a symbol of pride, honouring the parish’s rich musical legacy while beautifying the heart of Ocho Rios.

At the unveiling, Chamber President, Dr. Davidson, will outline the Chamber’s role in fostering business and cultural development, highlighting the importance of Chamber membership, and share upcoming plans and partnerships for further improvements across the parish.
