CAR SMASHED 2 LIGHT POLES BEFORE ENDING UP OFF-ROAD

A St Ann man was killed in a terrible pre-dawn crash in St Mary on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Dead is 38-year-old Jamielle Rori Thomas, of Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
Thomas was killed about 4 a.m. outside the Cool Oasis Service station at Rio Nuevo, St Mary. The stretch of three-lane road on which there is often speeding is known for several crashes and deaths.
Police said the crash took place when a white Nissan AF Wagon that Thomas was driving got out of control, collided with two Jamaica Public Service (JPS) light poles, and eventually came to a stop in front of the ATM located on the Cool Oasis gas station property. The impact caused Thomas to be ejected from the vehicle.
Law enforcement officials on arrival at the scene saw the Nissan AD Wagon with extensive damage. Thomas was seen lying unconscious on the ground near the vehicle.
The injured man was transported to the Port Maria Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
