MAN ARRESTED, 3 CARS ALSO SEIZED

Police seized more than $6 million worth of ganja and arrested a man in connection with the seizure in St Mary, Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
The police said they seized ganja weighing more than 400 pounds, with a street value of $6.1 million, in Three Hills, St. Mary.
Reports are that at about 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, police officers were responding to a report in the area when a man aroused their suspicion. The man was approached, questioned, and further investigation led the officers to a nearby house. Upon entering the premises, they discovered multiple rooms in the house filled with ganja plants hanging from the walls and ceiling. The police said this was an apparent operation for drying and processing the illegal substance.
As the investigation progressed, three motor vehicles were also seized in connection with the find. They are believed to be linked to the illicit operation.
A 28-year-old farmer was taken into custody and is to be officially charged.
