PHILPOTT MITCHELL SAYS M&M OPENING WILL BE A CELEBRATION THURSDAY
Discovery Bay is to celebrate the newest set of businesses in the coastal community with the opening of M&M Plaza on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Businessman Philpott Mitchell owns the plaza on Main Street next to the Total service station.

Mitchell has operated the M&M business from Salem, Runaway Bay for years. M&M has been expanding its footprint in the entertainment-related services area with the provision of portable bathrooms, chairs, tents, and other facilities used for outdoor functions.
Mitchell told the North Coast Times that he has long had plans to develop the space, after buying it years ago. The first floor of the two-storey building is now complete and occupied by a shipping company, haberdashery and a tool supplier and will soon house a pharmacy. He said the opening will be a celebration with food and drink on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
The M&M business continues to operate from Salem.
