VICTIM WAS UNDER 12 YEARS OLD

A St Mary man has been charged for sex crimes committed against a girl under 12 years old.

He is  54-year-old Conrad Gray of Paggee, Port Maria in the

Parish. Gray has been charged with two counts of rape and sexual intercourse with a person under 16, arising from incidents in his community between September 2023 and January this year.

Reports from the lawmen are that during the five-month period Gray went to the home of a twelve-year-old girl, held her down and had sexual intercourse with her against her will. Gray then lured the complainant to his home on separate occasions, and had sexual intercourse with her knowing that she was not at the age of consent.

A report was made to the police and a witness statement was taken. Detectives from the Port Maria Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) launched an investigation and Gray was arrested and charged.

A court date is being finalised for him.
