WHEN THE VIOLINIST WAS PAINTED

AN ELEGANT GOLFERS DINNER AND AWARDS AT SANDALS

Golfers and other guests at the 20th Annual USA Travel Advisors Golf Tournament awards ceremony at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, St Ann, had a special treat when a violinist was painted as she performed right before their eyes.

The violinist, Olexis Hung Cordero, on a dais among the dinner guests in the hotel’s ballroom, performed undeterred as if oblivious of the painter who splashed colours and held parts of the skirt to paint delicate lines and even the words “Jamaica, One Love Sandals”.

The overskirt was later removed from the violinist and was auctioned, at the same event as a work of art and fetched US$ 400 that went to Sandals Foundation. The Foundation also contributes to the programme of golf, for youngsters, through the “Care For Kids Junior Golf Programme.
