MAN ATTACKED, SLAIN AS HE WALKED WITH SPOUSE

A St Ann man who reportedly chopped another to death in a jealous rage has been charged for murder.
Charged with murder is 46-year-old farmer Sean Hanniford otherwise known as ‘Bungi of Cowley District Claremont.
He has been charged for the slaying of 37-year-old Joseph Baker of Cowley district near Claremont.
Police report that about 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 24, Baker was walking along the roadway with his spouse. She had been in an earlier relationship with Hanniford.
Reports are that Baker and his spouse were approached by
Hanniford. An argument developed between them and Hanniford who used a knife to stab Baker. The police were alerted to the scene and Baker was transported to the hospital where he died while being treated.
Hanniford later turned up with stab wounds and was nabbed by the lawmen in the process. He was subsequently charged, after confessing to the crime.
His court date is being finalized.
