BIKER WITH GUN ELUDES POLICE IN OCHI
BROWN’S TOWN, St Ann – July 18, 2024
Police have arrested and charged a man following the seizure of a gun in Brown’s Town, St Ann, Wednesday.
Police say the gun was one of two seized in separate incidents in the parish on Wednesday afternoon, July 17. In the second incident in Ocho Rios, a gun was seized from a motorcyclist who eluded the police.
Arrested and charged in connection with the incident in Brown’s Town is 34-year-old Riccardo Sterling, a security guard of Goshen in the parish.
Police said they carried out a targeted raid in Brown’s Town, on Wednesday, July 17, and recovered a loaded .38 revolver. Sterling was arrested and charged.
According to the police, later that same afternoon, Wednesday, police seized another firearm in an operation in Ocho Rios. However, in that incident, the motorcyclist carrying the firearm eluded the police.
