REPORTS SHE WAS SEEN EARLIER DISTRAUGHT
A woman drowned at the beach in Discovery Bay, St Ann, on Saturday afternoon, January 27.
Dead is 56-year-old Sharon Taylor.
Reports are that Taylor was seen crying and consuming alcohol earlier in the day.
At about 3:50 p.m., fishermen saw a body floating off the Discovery Bay public beach and made an alarm.
Police responded and sought the assistance of the JDF Coast Guard stationed at Discovery Bay. The body was retrieved and Taylor was pronounced dead at St Ann’ Bay Hospital.
