‘SAD DAY FOR THE JCF’ — SSP
A deputy superintendent of police drowned in St Ann on Sunday, January 28.

In a release Sunday evening, the Police High Command said it regretted the passing of the policeman who is suspected to have drowned in a river in Thatch Hill, Ocho Rios, on Sunday, January 28.
In a separate statement, the Head of St Ann Police Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell said Johnson was with colleagues who had traveled to the Eden Gardens River, He went into the water and was swept away by a current. Divers later removed his body from the water. He was pronounced dead at St Ann’s Bay Hospital.
