Three more people have been arrested for lotto scamming.
The three, including a woman were arrested in St James on Thursday, August 24.
According to the police, detectives assigned to the Lottery Scam Task Force arrested the three for breaches of the Law Reform (fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act and Proceeds of Crime Act following an operation in Whitter Village in Rose Hall, St. James on Thursday, August 24.
Reports are that between 12:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m., a female and two males were searched following a transaction that was carried out by the woman at a money transfer agency. An onsite analysis of their cellular phones was carried out and money transfer receipt as also the money collected by the woman was seized. They were subsequently arrested.
Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
