York Castle High of St Ann continued on their winning way when they beat Oracabessa High in a top-of-the-Zone I table DaCosta Cup clash in St Mary, Monday, October 10.
The game was played in deplorable conditions at the Clembhard’s Park playfield in Port Maria. The boys had to be slogging through six-inch high grass and puddles of water and patches of mud throughout the match.
York Castle went on the scoresheet early through Odane Wilberforce in the 9th minute and this was followed up by another in the 20th minute from Kemar Knox.
The teams battled hard in the second half but there was no change to the scorecard.
This leaves York Castle with 19 points and assures their advance to the next round, from Zone I.
