WOMAN, TEENS CHARGED AFTER MACHETE, KNIFE ATTACKS IN ST ANN

WOMAN STABS MAN, TEENS ATTACK MAN WITH MACHETE AT GRAVE DIGGING

 

Police have arrested and charged a woman and three teenagers with wounding with intent following separate knife attacks in Brown’s Town and at a grave digging event near Moneague in the parish.

The teens charged in connection with the grave digging event at Riverhead District, on Thursday, January 18, are:

  • 18-year-old Dwight Mullings,
  • 18-year-old Damion Morris and
  • 18-year-old Jamie Miller, all of Moneague, St. Ann.

Reports are that at about 5:30 p.m., a man was at a grave digging when he was attacked by the three teens with machetes. The man received chop wounds to the head that resulted in serious injuries.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition.

A report was made and the teens were subsequently charged on Wednesday, January 24. A court date has yet to be finalised.

BROWN’S TOWN MARKET

In the other incident, thirty-one-year-old Julene Christie, higgler of Wire Fence, Trelawny has been charged with Wounding with Intent following an incident in Brown’s Town, on Tuesday, January 23.

Reports are that about 7:00 p.m., a man and Christie were arguing when Christie used a kitchen knife and stabbed the man several times to his forehead, left shoulder, and right hand.

The man was taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released.

A report was made to the police and on Wednesday, January 24, Christie was charged. A court date is being finalised.
