Police in Trelawny are investigating the murder of an elderly woman Wednesday in Falmouth.
Dead is Hyacinth Wright, 76, widow of former long serving mayor of Falmouth Joseph Wright.
Mrs Wright of Victoria Street in Falmouth was found stabbed to death about 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, at her business place on Trelawny Street. It appears she had gone there to do the inventory or just check on the goods in the store that sold curios, haberdashery and a wide variety of items.
Police said the instrument used to stab here was left in her neck.
Mrs Wright was reportedly previously attacked months ago and hospitalized for nearly a week.
