A man charged with breaching the Copyright Act had a trial date set in his matter when he appeared before the St Ann Parish Court on Tuesday, March 22.
Charged is Travis Miller of St Ann.
It is alleged that Miller had in his possession, several copies of movies without having a license.
Miller pleaded not guilty to the charge on Tuesday and told the court that the discs did not belong to him. He claims they were for another man who was selling movies. According to Miller, the discs were on a chair “and the movie man run lef them when the police a come, so I was just standing there.”
The matter is set for trial on September 27.
