POLICE/MILITARY OPERATION LEADS TO ARREST OF 10 MEN

Reports are that about 10 p.m., a team of police and soldiers searched an abandoned shop in the Gulf section of Roaring River, Steer Town. They found two firearms. The weapons seized include one silver and black Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol with a magazine containing fifteen (15) 9mm rounds, and one black Taurus Gen 2 9mm pistol with a magazine containing six (6) 9mm rounds. The firearms were found on a motor vehicle rim, inside the abandoned building.
Ten men were taken into custody as part of the investigation, including two individuals identified as high-risk targets (HRTs). Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
Police said the operation forms part of the ongoing efforts by the security forces to target guns, gangs, and gunmen, and to rid communities of illegal weapons.
