TWO CHARGED WITH MURDER IN OCHO RIOS

MAN STABBED, HIT OVER HEAD WITH STONE 7 WEEKS AGO

Two persons have been charged with the murder of a man that occurred nearly two months ago, following a bar fight in Parry Town, Ocho Rios, St. Ann, on Friday, June 21.

Dead is forty-three-year-old Kevin Clarke a labourer of Parry Town, St. Ann.

Charged are thirty-one-year-old Rushane Allen otherwise called “Coco” a construction worker of Buckfield, Ocho Rios and a twenty-six-year-old chef; Toriann Pearson otherwise called “Terrie” of Pimento Walk, Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Reports from the St. Ann Police are that about 11:00 p.m., on June 21, 2024, Clarke got into an altercation with a person in the bar. He then proceeded to hit Allen over the head with a bottle and ran. He was accosted by onlookers; after which, Allen and Pearson stabbed Clarke multiple times. Allen then proceeded to use a stone to hit Clarke in the head. Clarke was rushed to the hospital and admitted

in serious condition. He was later transferred to another hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

A report was made to the police on Thursday, June 27. On Wednesday, August 7, both Allen and Pearson visited the Ocho Rios Police Station in relation to the seizure of a motor vehicle and were arrested.

They were jointly charged on Tuesday, August 13, based on an eyewitness statement and question and answer session.

A court date is being arranged for them.
