Police are probing the circumstances surrounding the drowning of a musician in a river in, St Ann.
He is twenty-six-year-old Dujay Dean, a musician of Spicy Hill, Duncans, Trelawny. He is suspected to have drowned at a river in Thatch Hill, near Cascade, St Ann on Monday, September 4.
Reports from the St. Ann Police are that about 6:00 p.m., a relative discovered the body and alerted them. On their arrival, Dean was seen afloat in the river. The police were summoned and he was removed from the water.
Circumstances are not clear about what happened but it is reported that Dean and friends went to the area, frequented by many wanting to use Blue Hole or other attractions. It’s not clear what happened afterward. Reports are that a large amount of money was found at the scene.
