Investigations are still on going into the tragic death of a four-month-old baby. Thefamily was left grieving after the baby died in a motor vehicle collision along the Temple Hall main road in Stony Hill, St. Andrew on Tuesday, March 3. Dead is four month old, Kevoy Baker of Tremolesworth in Highgate, St. Mary. Initial reports from the Stony Hill Police are that about 8:40 a.m., Kevoy was travelling with his father, Kevon Baker and his mother to Kingston in a Toyata Corolla motocar when his father lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle ran over a precipice and into a river.
The police were summoned and on their arrival, Kevoy and his mother were taken to the Annotto Bay hospital, where Kevoy was pronounced dead. The child’s mother had been admitted, while, his father was taken to the university hospital in St. Andrew where he said was to be in serious condition. A source close to the family, who wished not to be identified, denied certain aspects of the police report. The source told the Timesthat all three were taken to the Annotto Bay hospital. The child’s mother was admitted and released Wednesday morning, March 4. The father was transferred from Annotto Bay hospital to University Hospital. However, Mr. Baker walked out of the hospital the same day and went home. The source also revealed that the family is still in a state of shock. “They are trying to cope but it’s hard on them at the moment,” the source told the North Coast Times.
The Constant Spring traffic office is carrying out investigations into the incident, while the father has given a statement to the police regarding the accident.
When the North Coast Times contacted the Stony Hill Police Station, Monday, March 16, they informed that the investigations are still on going in the matter.
