TACKY SECURE, HORACE CLARKE, W MARTIN LOOK GOOD FOR TOP 4
(Tacky — sitting pretty)
Four crucial games in Zone ‘I’, that will help decide the top four, are on this afternoon.
Those four will then play among themselves to determine the two will go through automatically to the Inter-Zone round and a possible best third-place finisher.
As it stands now, before the schedule Thursday afternoon, Tacky are on 14, Horace Clarke are on 13, the same as Wycliffe Martin, and Annotto Bay on 12.
The most crucial will pit fourth place Annotto Bay against Wycliffe Martin. Their match was halted Wednesday with Martin leading 1-0.
But Assistant Coach at A’Bay Charles Grizzle says his team is going to the match with confidence. “It’s a must-win for us,” he said. A’Bay were early leaders in the competition but have lost steam and must win to assure themselves of a place.

St Mary High could also force themselves in by beating the surprise team of the Zone, Horace Clarke. A win would put St Mary High on 13 points and assure a spot, should Annotto Bay lose. They could also make it in on goal difference even if A’Bay win.
St Mary High Coach Kenroy Reid says after some registration and internal issues, he now has his full squad. “They are playing better together and improving with every match,” he told The North Coast Times.
Tacky seem sure of their place and are up against St Mary Technical away. Technical have disappointed in the round and Tacky have kept up their early promise as a top team.
