PORTLAND TEAM BEATS JAMAICA COLLEGE IN TIGHT MATCH

TITCHFIELD HIGH WON THE Finals of the Schools’ Challenge Quiz Tuesday night, April 8, 2025, in the studios of TVJ in Kingston.
They beat Jamaica College 26 to 23 in a gripping contest.

The high school on the hill at 22 Fort George Street, in Port Antonio was winning the Challenge for the second time, following their victory in 2016.
The game was tied after the first segment and Jamaica College led at the end of the second session – The Speed Challenge.

In the final section, the game swung from one side to the other before Titchfield seized the initiative and came home winners. The Titchfield boys, led by captain Alex Anderson, grabbed and shook each other in celebration when the buzzer went, prompting the presenter to urge “Be careful”

The Titchfield supporters shouted their support outside the studio.
In Port Antonio, at one bar, men ignored their drinks and kept their eyes glued to the screen and burst into applause and praise as Titchfield took the championship.
