Scores of mourners turned out today at the double thanksgiving service for the lives of Bishop Lawford ‘Ruddy’ Bolt and his wife Pastor Phyllis ‘Aunty’ Hilliary Bolt, at the Lime Tree Garden Primary and Infant School, near Brown’s Town St Ann.The two died within days of each other in December.A large tent and seating arranged around it were not enough for the large number of people, some from other parishes and overseas whose lives had been touched by the couple. Many tributes came in the service. These included the Lime Tree Garden Primary and Infant School, the Triumphant Church of God (TCOG) of Oakland Ave., Longbough and Morgan’s Forest. The Brown’s Town Fasting Chapel (Sis B. McDonald) gave a tribute. The second reading was done by the couple’s son in law, Laurie Lynch, cousin, Shurnette Daye and granddaughter, Brianna Bolt. More tributes continued with brother of Bishop Bogle, Kenred Daye, Bishop Dr. J.J. Parke (Canada) along with several others. The tributes were excited, reflective and of a happy mood.
