THAT’S NO REGGAE WALL

Reader criticizes mural, state of Ochi

Dear Editor,

I am ashamed of what you guys are calling a Reggae Wall in Ocho Rios. I passed there on Wednesday, (July 30) a day after they put up the mural and couldn’t believe my eyes. All that is there is a piece of backed canvas put on a tiny part of the Eight Rivers Plaza wall on the [Ocho Rios] bypass.

It is a shame to call that a mural. I won’t even talk about how they came to put up a board about Reggae and don’t have Jack Ruby on it or Justin Hines. Who selected these people anyway?

Another thing, the St Ann Chamber says they want to help beautify Ocho Rios, let them ask the mayor to clean up all the vending on every sidewalk and in front of all the business places in the town. It’s dirty and filthy and a mural, even a good one, won’t change that.
