A St Mary teen who left her home in Enfield, Annotto Bay to wash clothes at a nearby river was found dead on Monday morning, January 26.Dead is 14-year-old Trishauna Henry, a student of Annotto Bay High School, St Mary. The teen’s nude body was found afloat, with a wound to the head, in a river near her home.The St Mary police are awaiting a post mortem to determine the teen’s cause of death.It is reported that Trishauna left her home on Sunday to wash some clothes at the Dry River. It is reported that her mother, forbade her from going to the river but she went nonetheless. Her mother went to sleep in the afternoon and later when she awoke found that Trishauna had not returned home. Her mother went in search of the teen at the river and after some time found the clothes Trishauna had laundered as well as the clothes she had worn to the river.Family members searched for her that and when she was not found on Sunday evening, the family filed a missing person’s report.A search was launched again on Monday (January 26). Her body was found nearby, floating in the river. The St Mary police have launched an investigation as a wound was seen at the ride side of the teen’s head. The Times understands that a team of counsellors was dispatched to the Annotto Bay High School to provide grief counselling.
