STOLEN GOODS RECOVERED IN ST ANN
PORT MARIA, St Mary; Dec. 12, 2024
Two teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with several break-ins in the Port Maria town centre, St Mary and the stolen items recovered in neighbouring St Ann.
Some business operators in Port Maria have been complaining that break-ins have increased since the headquarters of the St Mary police has been moved to Trinity, a little over a mile east of the town centre.

According to reports to the North Coast Times, the two eighteen-year-olds were standing near a shop in the Port Maria town centre on Wednesday, December 11, when their actions aroused the suspicion of the police. The teens were searched and a steel cutter was found in their possession.
They were taken into custody where they reportedly confessed to committing six break-ins in businesses in the town centre. According to their confession, the stolen items were taken to St Ann where they were hidden
Following the leads provided police conducted in the Paŕry Town community, near Ocho Rios, St Annwhere the stolen items were recovered.
Police are continuing investigations.
