HELD AT BUSINESS PLACE IN BUFF BAY RAID
The Portland police charged two teenagers with gun crimes in connection with gun and ammunition allegedly found at a business place in Buff Bay, Saturday, March 29, 2025.
Police said $28-Million in cash in local and foreign currency was also seized.
The teens, one male and a female who cannot be named because they are minors, were charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, using premises to store a prohibited weapon, and stockpiling of unauthorized ammunition following a seizure

The 14-year-old male and 15-year-old female are both from Buff Bay.
Reports from the Buff Bay Police are that at about 8:00 a.m., lawmen carried out an intelligence-led operation at a business establishment in the area. During a search of the premises, a Glock 17 pistol with sixty-six 9mm cartridges along with approximately 28 million Jamaican dollars (J$28,000,000) were found and seized.
The two juveniles were apprehended and later charged following a question-and-answer session.
Their court dates are being arranged.
Reports also say that a close relative of the juveniles was held by the police in the operation.
