A suspect remains in police custody in connection to the stabbing death of a teen during an altercation on Thursday, February 9.
Dead is 18-year-old Khadeem Robinson of Lime Tree Gardens near Brown’s Town in St Ann.
Sources told the North Coast Times that Robinson was on a building site with other men and there was some taunting (or teasing) going on. It is reported that a man used a knife to inflict wounds to Robinson who was pronounced dead at hospital. Further reports are that others turned on the alleged stabber and beat him badly. He was hospitalized under police guard.
Reports from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) are that at about 2:50 pm, Robinson was among a group of men, when a dispute developed between him and another man.
An altercation later ensued and the man used a knife to stab Robinson.
According to head of crime for St Ann, deputy superintendent (DSP) Richard Hilton, the police have the alleged attacker in custody and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
