The minor charged for the stabbing death of his schoolmate was granted bail in the St Ann Circuit Court by Justice Glen Brown on Tuesday, May 30.
The 17-year-old male accused was a student of the Brown’s Town High School at the time of the incident in October, 2016.
It was just before midday on October 8, when tragedy struck during a dispute between the accused and the deceased, Jamala Barnaby.
It is alleged that the accused used a knife to stab Barnaby. He was taken to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accused murderer is to return to court June 8.
