A male teen was arrested following the seizure of a homemade firearm and a round of ammunition at a shop in Mammee Bay, St Ann on Sunday morning, October 30.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay police are that at about 1:20 a.m., lawmen carried out a raid at the shop on the Mammee Bay main road at which the teenager was a patron.
The police further indicated that a search of the premises and his person resulted in the seizure of the homemade firearm and one 9 mm round of ammunition.
The identity of the teen has not been released as investigations into the matter are ongoing.
A court date is to be announced following the completion of the probe into the seizure.
